Stephen L. Cozart

Tupelo—Stephen Louis Cozart died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center at the age of 64. A longtime resident of Tupelo, Stephen was born May 25, 1957 to Howard Ray Cozart and Tessie Parker Cozart. After his graduation from Tupelo High School and attending college, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War. Stephen worked as a manager for Wal-Greens for several years. He was a talented artist and avid reader.
Stephen leaves behind his three sisters, Pat Bristow, Sue Teem, and Jo Church, all of Tupelo; a sister-in-law, Nita Cozart also of Tupelo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betti Renshaw; two brothers, Gerald Woodson Cozart and Darwyn Ray Cozart.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Tupelo Memorial Park with Father Tim Murphy officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
