RONNIE ROBISON
Unity Community - Ronnie Robison, 60, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born January 15, 1956 to Carl Decy and Margaret Ann Adderholt Robison in Tupelo, Mississippi. On March 21, 1975, he married his high school sweetheart, Helen M. Hester. He worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling in Tupelo and as a residential contractor. He was a past president of Lee County School Board and Unity Community Club and served as Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 5 of Saltillo. He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Ronnie loved fishing with his best bud David, wood working, gardening and traveling with his wife and son. He was an avid Mississippi State fan and always had a dog by his side, especially Otto, Sassy, Comet and Archie. Although having no grandchildren, he was "Ronnie Pop" to many special children.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Boutwell officiating with a graveside service to follow in Unity Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Helen Robison of Unity; son, Dr. Matthew K. Robison of Atlanta, Georgia; mother-in-law, Wilma "Maw" Hester of Unity; special uncle and aunt, Jerry and Carolyn Adderholt of Saltillo; uncles and aunts, Bobby and Aletha Adderholt of Saltillo, Dr. R. B. and Nancy Robison of Tupelo, Anne Robison of San Ramon, California and Betty Parker of Verona.
He was preceded in death by father, Carl Decy Robison; mother, Margaret Ann Potter; maternal grandmother who raised him, Nellie "Granny" Adderholt; maternal grandfather, Carl Adderholt; paternal grandparents, Ray and Sula Robison; uncles, James Aderholt and Sidney Robison; his Mississippi State Buddy, Uncle Charlie Robison and aunt, Kay Robison; father-in-law, Charles "Paw" Hester.
The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude, Lisa Robison Radlinski of Chicago, Illinois.
Pallbearers will be David Long, Phil Ratliff, Jimmy Anderson, Rud Robison, Dr. Greg Adderholt, Terri Ellis, Dennis Carr, Dr. Jay White, Davis Lindsey and Robert Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eldon Blount, Johnnie Wilburn, Reed Robison and Hugh Jones.
