Obituary for Robert Spear Tupelo - Robert Earl Spear, 51, died Monday, September 19, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Miami, Florida on October 10, 1959, to Bobby Hensley and Earline Smith Spear. A graduate of Tupelo High School, he then went on to attend Itawamba Jr. College and Mississippi State University. He was a long time employee of McRaes Department Store. He loved music, playing the guitar and anything to do with computers. He possessed a gentle kindness and loving joyful spirit. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Survivors include one son, Benjamin Adam Spear of Tupelo; his mother, Earline Smith Spear of Tupelo; two sisters, Paula Spear Brewster of Mobile, Alabama and Donna Spear Shirley of Hattiesburg; three neices, Kelly Gray of Dallas,Texas, Mary Shirley and Kate Shirley Songy both of Hattiesburg; two nephew, Trey Brewster of Mobile, Alabama and Brian Mattox of Tupelo; his ex-wife Barbara Mattox Spear of Shannon. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Hensley Spear. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
