RHONDA SANDERFORD
Saltillo - Rhonda Marie Powell Sanderford, 56, joined her devoted husband P.K. and beloved children Dwayne and Sandra at the feet of our Lord at 10:32 PM on March 6, 2016. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, in hospice care at the North MS Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. Rhonda was born December 1, 1959, to Dorothy Marie Hall Powell Felker and Hawley Ross Powell Jr. in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tupelo. During her life she devoted herself to taking care of her children, husband, and family. She also made a great many lifelong friends working at Catalina Lighting.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in The Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Ricky Sanderford officiating. Graveside services will follow in Saltillo Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Marie Hall Felker and step-father, Lee Felker; two brothers, Lynn Powell (Sharon) and Ricky Powell (Tina); two sisters, Renee Payne and Hope Wilson; dearest cousins, Melissa Bryan, Tracy Wheeler, and Tena Stallings; daughter, Amy Counce; stepdaughter, Melissa Sanderford; and a host of loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, PK Sanderford; her children, Dwayne Powell and Sandra Sanderford; her father, Hawley Ross Powell Jr.; and grandparents, Hawley Ross & Hassie Powell Sr., and Robert Hulan & Lurlene Hall.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Payne, Perry Payne, Matthew Bryan, Michael Wheeler, Blake Sanderford, and Austin Sanderford.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
