Obituary for Reese Senter, Sr. Fulton - Daniel Reese Senter, 88, died Monday, December 26, 2011, at The Meadows, in Fulton. A Fulton native and longtime resident of Itawamba and Lee Counties, he was born April 23, 1923, to Estel Guy and Lena Lee Graham Senter. He was the owner of Senter Transit Mix for approximately 50 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed buying selling cars with Mid South Auto Sales. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the American Legion. He was a former president State Board of Public Contractors and served on the Mississippi State Oil and Gas Board and served as chairman of the board of the Mississippi State Park and Recreation. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Verona. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his family Services with Masonic Rites will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Mike Brazeal officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Senter of Tupelo; his sons, Danny Senter, Jr. (Pam) of Nettleton, Talmage Joel Senter (Marilyn) of Hot Springs, Ark., and Randy Senter (Renee) of Verona; one sister, Tula Clayton (Jerry) of Tupelo; one brother, Tryce Senter (Jeanette) of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Daniel Reese Senter III (Sonya), Sasha Senter, Bryan Senter, Brad Caldwell, Raine Turner; three great-grandchildren, Slaten, Emily and Rylee Kate. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Velma (Lyna) Senter who died in 2006; his brothers, E.G. Senter Jr. and Maj. Col. George Joel Senter; his sister, Imogene Senter. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
