RAY ELLIS FORD Tupelo - Ray Ellis Ford, 88, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Mississippi Veteran's Home in Oxford. He was born July 17, 1928, at Hazelurst to Shelby and Beulah Norman Ford. He was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church in Tupelo. He was a graduate of Hazelhurst High School and a proud member of the football team.   Ray diligently served his country in the United State Navy from 1951 until his retirement in 1970. Afterwards, he worked for the Federal Reserve System in Memphis until his second retirement in 1989.   There will be a private family service on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo with Rev. Will Rambo officiating and Terry Bullard delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery in Burnsville. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.   Survivors include his sons, Danny Ford (Naomi) and Greg Ford (Farris Dawn); step-daughter, Lynda Bullard (Terry); grandchildren, Whitney Ueltschey (Marcus), Rebecca Goldman (Justin), Katie Ray (Talmadge), Garet Ford (Casey), Grant Ford (Janell) and Summer Bowers (Richard); great-grandchildren, Sarah Caroline, Ben, Luke and Sam Ueltschey, Graham, Jake and Shelby Kate Goldman, Jack Ray, Ellis, Finley and Falyn Ford; special friends, Drs. Osvaldo and Marta Hans.   Memorials may be made to Lifeline Children's Services for Katie and Talmadge Ray adoption, 2104 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35216.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
