Obituary for Pauline "Polly" Edwards Plantersville Pauline Polly Edwards, 90, died Saturday, October 15, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born December 11, 1920 in Arkansas to Albert and Nora Bishop. She was a charter member of Temple Grove Baptist Church in the Temple Grove Community. In her earlier years, she served as Treasurer and taught Sunday School. She loved God, Church and family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, and sharing her flowers with her friends and neighbors. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Pastor Ron Pannell officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Johnny Paul Edwards of McGhee, Arkansas; her daughter, Barbara Coggin of Plantersville; one sister, Nora McGaughey of Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother, William "Bill" Bishop of Truman, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Bruce Allan Coggin (Robin) of Plantersville and Debbi Carol Coggin (Tony Reed Witcher) of the Richmond Community; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Courtney Smith, Joseph Allan Coggin, Mia Rose Coggin, Anna Leigh Enlow, Telsey Autumn Witcher and Boudin Carroll Coggin-Witcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. "Lum" Edwards; her parents; six siblings, Charlie, Tommy, Pearlie, Maudie, Zora and Rosie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Romie Holloway, Dennis Bolen and Bubba Joyner. Visitation will be 3 - 7 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the funeral home.
