Obituary for Nellogean Plunkett Mooreville - Nellogean Plunkett, 81, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. A native of Bexar, Ala., she was born September 3, 1930, to Willie and Lunelle Trentham Randolph. She worked as a seamstress 18 years for Plantersville Sportswear and also several years at Hunter-Sadler where she retired in 1977. She was an avid gardener and quilter. She loved people and enjoyed visiting friends and neighbors, ministering to shut-ins. Her family remembers her as a hard worker who believed it was okay to give out, but not give up. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Wexford Parmer officiating. Graveside Services will be at 4 p.m. in Webb Cemetery near Hamilton, Ala. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William H. "Bill" Plunkett of Mooreville; three daughters, Nell Akins (Bill) of Ozark, Ark., Lynda Clardy (Earnest) of Tupelo, Brenda Faughn (Terry) of Forrest City, Ark.; six sons, Tommy Plunket of Michie, Tenn.,Tony Plunkett (Karla) of Amory, Ronnie Plunkett (Lisa) of Garfield, Ark., Donnie Plunkett (Becky) of Amory, Rickey Plunkett (Leona) of Mooreville, and Mickey Plunkett of Mooreville; 37 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Wayne Plunkett and Jerry Plunkett; five grandchildren; and two brothers. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
