Brandon - Nell Allen Futrell, 92, formerly of Tupelo died, Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. On January 26, 1926, Nell was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Warren Smith Allen and Thelma Naurine Cook Allen. After graduating High School in Montgomery she worked as a teller where she met a Bank Examiner, John Futrell, whom she later married. They were together 47 years until his passing on September, 19 2004. She and her husband were very active members of Tupelo Luncheon Civitan Club. She was also a member of Gloster Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Becky Turner of Brandon; two grandchildren, Allen Turner of Brandon and Brooke Fulton and her husband, Eli of Brandon and one great-grandson, Colt Fulton. She was preceded by her husband, John Futrell; parents; sister, Annie Warren Allen and son-in-law, Glen Turner.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Chad Ramsey officiating. Graveside services will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Allen Turner, Eli Fulton and Tom Messier.
