MILDRED GRAMMER

Tupelo - Mildred Grammer, 86, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born February 8, 1930, to Willie and Mandy Holland Sheffield.  Mildred lived in Itawamba County until moving to Tupelo in the early 60's. September 30, 1967, she maried Jack Grammer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing and being outside. Mildred loved spending time with her family and having family gatherings. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with her nephew, Rev. John Foster officiating. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Shoemaker (Andrew) of Blue Springs; sons, Brian Grammer (Tessa) of Blue Springs; stepson, Terry Grammer (Holly) of Lynnhaven, Florida; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Hall of Verona and Dot Culver of Tupelo and a host of neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Grammer; sisters, Eula Mae Gardner, Irene Foster and Maxine Sheffield; brothers, Edgar, Oliver Flaudy and Lenard Sheffield.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Nicholas Raines, Michael Bowles, Levi Grammer, Dustin Grammer, Forest Shoemaker and nephew, Jerry Foster.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
