MAURINE W. VAIL Tupelo - Maurine Watson Vail, 92, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 30, 1924, to Rupert and Aletha Morris Watson. She was married to Henry H. Vail until his passing in 1984. Maurine was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. After they were grown she taught Kindergarten at Joyland Daycare in Tupelo. Maurine loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Jimmy Vail of Dallas, Texas, Don Vail (Kathy) of Hattiesburg and Gina Goff (Paul Goddard) of Tupelo; sister, Dorothy Weeks of Jackson; grandchildren, Kristi Orlando of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Carl Vail, Camae Vail, Drew Goff (Chelsea) and Emily Griggs (Josh) all of Tupelo and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry H. Vail; sons, Mike and Eddie Vail; grandson, Ridge Vail and brother, Rupert Watson, Jr. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. in Tupelo Memorial Park with Rev. David Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Vail, Don Vail, Carl Vail, Tom Watson, Josh Griggs and Drew Goff.
