MARY ELLEN KELLUM   Brewer Community - Mary Ellen Johnston Kellum, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 11, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born October 30, 1934, to Arlie and Exie Johnston in Lee County. She and her late husband of 53 years, Marvin Kellum, made their home in Brewer where they worked, raised a family and were active members of Doty Chapel Baptist Church. Mary loved gardening, bird watching, camping and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her church family, which she dearly loved.   A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Doty Chapel Baptist Church in Shannon. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.   She is survived by four sons, Rodney Kellum (Vanessa) of Georgia, Eddie Kellum (Natalie) of Amory, Jeff Kellum (Paula) of Amory and Chuck Kellum (Tammie) of Brewer Community; ten grandchildren, Ronnie Howard, Jennifer Rich (Kevin), Denae Irvin (Jeffrey), Beth Rock (Jamie), Scooter Kellum (Chelsea), Staci Young, Dusty Kellum, Kristie Jolly (Adam), Amanda Kellum and Rebecca Kellum; brothers, Charles Johnston (Linda) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ronald Johnston (Sharon) of Thomaston, Georgia and Douglas Johnston of the Richmond Community; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Carolyn Johnston.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Kellum; brother, Jimmy Johnston and sister-in-law, Marion Johnston.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
