Obituary for Mable Smith Pensacola, Fla.--Mable Turman Smith, 91, resident of Pensacola, Fla., died Saturday, October 15, 201l. She was born in Tupelo on August 17, 1920. She graduated from Tupelo High School and received a B.S. degree for the University of Southern Mississippi. She moved to Pensacola in 1984, and became a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid birder. She loved working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing bridge. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lee Memorial Park with Dr. Tom Groome, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of local arrangements while Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements in Florida. She is survived by her sister Joy Turman and her dear friend Tammy Whalen, both of Pensacola, FL, and a long time family friend Nora Faye Hawkins of Tupelo, MS. She also has surviving relatives in Mississippi and Virginia, and a host of friends in Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Reese Smith; mother, Addie Patterson Turman; father, S.
