LILA "PUD" BAILEY



Tupelo - Lila Reed Bailey, 85, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1932, to Cletus R. and Velma Pearl Windham Holley. Lila grew up in Booneville. On December 24, 1950, Lila married Thomas H. Bailey and moved to Tupelo in 1962. She was an avid bridge player, achieving Life Master status. Lila was passionate about antiques and arranging flowers. She donated flower arrangements every chance she got. Lila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, especially doting on her grandchildren. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.



Survivors include her husband, Tom H. Bailey, Sr. of Tupelo; children, Chris Bailey (Steve Thompson) of Loveland, Colorado and Tom Bailey, Jr. (Mary Powers) of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, John Thompson of Denver, Colorado, George Thompson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Anne Greenlee (Mark), Zac Powers Bailey and Stephanie Powers Bailey of Memphis, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Lila Greenlee, Chloe King and Wyatt King; sister, Rose McDonald of Greensboro, North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jean Downs and Laura England, and a granddaughter, Hannah Claire Bailey.



Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday April 20, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, Tupelo.



Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Groome and Rev. Ron Richardson officiating. Interment will be in First Presbyterian Columbarium.
