Letha May Beaty

Guntown- Letha May Beaty, 85, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Vina, Alabama October 10, 1934 to Charnell and Clistie Holland Blackburn. She worked for a number of years in quality control at Aurora Bearing in Chicago, Illinois. Letha enjoyed working outdoors doing yard work, gardening, mowing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a great cook. She was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Thomas Craig Beaty, Leah Anice Beaty and Nicholas Malone Beaty; two great-grandchildren, Marcus and Gabe Beaty; two daughters-in-law, Theresa and Cheryl Beaty; sister, Shirley; and five brothers, R.C., Freddie, J.C., Marshall and Kyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 30 years, Carroll Malone Beaty; two sons, Hershiel Malone Beaty and Mark Beaty; and six siblings, Verlie, Howard, Charlie, Vernon, Anita and Elatrice.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, December 6, 2019 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.

Services honoring her life will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues. Burial will be Dumas Cemetery.
