LARRY COKER, SR. Tupelo - Larry Coker, Sr., 69, passed away February 8, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit. He was born to Homer and Helen Bolen Coker. He was a graduate of Belden High School. He served in the United States Reserves. He was a Christian and a Baptist by faith. Larry was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening and working outside and loved spending time with his family and friends. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. A graveside service will follow at McNeil Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include four children, Larry Coker, Jr. of Ripley, Michelle Coker of Saltillo, Matt Coker (Tonya) of Pontotoc, and Josh Coker of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Lisa Coker of Memphis, Tennessee; four brothers, Ricky Coker (Jeanette), Danny Coker (Sue), Tommy Coker (Dana), and Roger Coker (Lana) all of Sherman; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Pat Coker, Bud Coker, Nicky Hazel, Matt McCarter, Jason McClarty, and Mike Talbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Coker and Ben Logan.
