KERMIT F. SIDES   Belden - Kermit Franklin Sides, 83, died Tuesday, February 3, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born on February 13, 1932, to Robert Franklin and Jettie Frances Cox Sides. A high school graduate of Lee County Schools, he began his career in the furniture industry at Futorian Manufacturing in May 1955. He was a founding member of PeopLoungers, Inc., and, also, Action Industries. After nearly fifty years, he retired from the furniture business.   He was a life-long member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was an active member. Kermit enjoyed golf, was a master craftsman, and was a true master gardener. He enjoyed spending time with his family, close friends, and his dog, Maximilian.   Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, in The Jefferson Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jim Yates officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.   Survivors include his daughter, Connie Dutt (Scott, Sr.) of Belden; one sister, Sara Hall (Wesley) of Baldwyn; one daughter-in-law, Gale Sides of Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Scott Dutt, Jr., of Germantown, TN, and Trevor Sides of Starkville.   He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixty-two years, Edna Heavener Sides of Belden; one son, Timothy F. Sides; and three sisters, Linda Dye, Lyda Dunnam and Luneal Kimbrough.                                                                                                                                             Pallbearers will be Lanier Dunnam, Rondy Heavener, Lewis Touchstone, Dr. Peter West, Trevor Sides, and Scott Dutt, Jr.   Visitation will be 4 until 6 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.   Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 501 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
