KENNETH LYLES

Tupelo - Roy Kenneth Lyles, 79, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1937, to Bonnie Holland and Zelma Kelly Lyles. He was a painter by trade. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Living Water Community Church. He enjoyed spending Friday's playing dominos with his wife and her family. He loved deer hunting, fishing, playing the game, Aggravation with his friends and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Gale Presnell (Dennis), Brenda Sheffield (Gerald) and Amanda Dickerson (Mike) of the Auburn Community; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Stevens of Belden; a brother, John Lyles Blue Springs and a sister-in-law, Sandy Lyles of the Auburn Community.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Alice Chism Lyles; his parents, Bonnie Holland and Zelma Kelly Lyles; two brothers, Tommy and J. D. Lyles.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. John Gale officiating. Burial will be in Mantachie Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Washington, Clinton Hester, David Dickerson, Dennis Presnell, Gerald Sheffield and Mike Dickerson.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

A special thanks to nurses, Bobby Sanders and Emily Tate for being so nice and caring.
