JAMES GRADY HICKMAN
Verona – James Grady Hickman, 78, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at home, surrounded by his daughter and grandsons. He was born August 27, 1939 in McNairy County, Tennessee to Mark and Daisy Hickman. James spent his career in law enforcement and was a member of Northeast Church of Christ. James loved his grandkids, church and fishing.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Hickman of Verona; sister, Mary Ann Cox of Tupelo; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 63 years, Offie Hickman; his son, Grady Hickman, four sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues, with Minister Trey Haskett officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Randolph, Chris Whitaker, Daniel Hickman, Raymond Pettus, Richard Hickman and Brandon Barnes.
