I. M. KELLY
Tupelo - Isom Milfige Kelly, 91, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1925, to Lester Howard and Dollie Collier Kelly. I. M. worked at White Rose as a route salesmen. He married Mary Folger on December 22, 1945 and they were married for 69 years until her passing in 2015. I. M. enjoyed farming, hunting, traveling and playing with his grand and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Judy Copeland (Larry) of Mooreville, Ed Kelly (Sherry) Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, William Kelly of Tupelo and Wanda Patterson (Joey) of Pontotoc; brother, Dan Kelly (Mary) of Tupelo; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Folger Kelly; brothers, Thomas, Lester and William Kelly; sister, Pat Carter; daughter, Laura Kelly Stevens and granddaughter, Kelly Dawn Herring.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Richey Hester officiating. Graveside services will follow in Gilvo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons.
