Tupelo-- Guy Ellis Watts III, 51, died November 20, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice House. Guy was born on March 4, 1971 in Laurel, Mississippi to Guy "Billy" Watts, Jr. and Connie Landis Steele. His family moved to Tupelo in 1974. Guy graduated from Tupelo High School in 1989. He then spent a semester at Northeast Community College before transferring to Mississippi State University, where he earned a degree in marketing. He later passed the Series 7 examination and worked as a financial representative for Edward Jones. Guy spent the majority of his career in sales, for which he had a special knack, as he never met a stranger. Anyone who has ever spent time with Guy usually has a funny story to share.
Guy is survived by his parents, one brother, Jason, of Kearneysville, WV, his son, Guy "Ellis" Watts IV, of Belden, Ellis' mother Sarah Guest-Grace, and special friend, Karen Webb, of Saltillo. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Guy E. Watts, Sr. and Ira Lee Ethridge Watts, as well as his maternal grandmother, Janice McGill Kyser.
