Gary Hamner

Gary Stephen Hamner   Gary S. Hamner passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 2, 2017. He was born on February 25, 1953 to F. H. Hamner, Jr. and Lois Hawn Hamner. He graduated from Saltillo High School and furthered his education at Itawamba Community College. Before becoming disabled, he worked for Blue Bell, Inc. and Hickory Springs as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching football, collecting various memorabilia and cooking.   Private funeral services were held at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues on February 3, 2017 with Rev. Truman Thompson officiating. Burial was in Beech Springs Cemetery.   Survivors include his brother, Larry Hamner and wife, Janice; sister, Linda "Susie" DuVall; nephew, Michael Hamner; nieces, Lorie Wigginton (Randy), Leslie Clark, Susan May and Stacy Cobb.   Memorials may be made to Oak Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Ed Brown, 116 Hereford Dr., Tupelo, MS 38804.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
