Mooreville - Gary Allen Poe, 69, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his home. He was born July 30, 1947, to Leonard and Mary Lydia Buskirk Poe. He was a truck driver during his working life until his retirement. On January 20, 1984, Gary married Cynthia Poe. He enjoyed boating, horseback riding and four-wheeler riding with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Poe of Mooreville; children, Bobbie Ann Poe of Florida, Bobby Rodgers (Carla) of Mooreville, Patricia Armstrong (Tony) of Ecru, Steven Rodgers (Pamela) of Mooreville and Frankie Rodgers (Angie) of Houston; grandchildren, Tommy and Stephanie Pool, Katesha Coffey, Danielle Rodgers, Dakota Rushing, Justin Rodgers, Allen Armstrong, Cooper Armstrong, Stephanie Rollins, Adam and Chad Rodgers, Savannah Rausch, Alicia Nichole Rodgers; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Stegall (Talmage) Pontocola, Carolyn Tutor of Saltillo, Martha Andersen (Andy) of Sherman and Linda Poe of Verona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Poe; sister, Geanette Poe Beasley; daughter, Tonya Poe and grandson, Neal Rodgers.
Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.
