    Frances Walker

    March 4, 1961 - August 23, 2011

    Obituary for Frances Walker Memphis - Frances Boggan Walker, 50, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born March 4, 1961, to Roy Boggan, Jr. and Ruby Nell Filgo Boggan. A 1979 graduate of Tupelo High School, she then went on to Mississippi State University where she graduated in 1983, with a degree in interior design. She then moved to Memphis, Tenn. where she worked as an administrative assistant for Davidson Hotel Company for 24 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis and grew up attending St. Luke United Methodist Church in Tupelo. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Dr. Rick Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her daughter, Kate Walker of Memphis; her parents Ruby Nell Filgo Boggan and Roy Boggan, Jr of Tupelo; her sister, Kathryn Cayson (Mike) of Tupelo; two nieces, Emily Cayson of Tupelo and Marshall McGahey of Memphis; her mother-in-law, Susan Russell of Memphis; her sister-in-law, Evelyn McGahey (Jem) of Memphis; her aunt, Carolyn Boggan of Tupelo; her uncle, Roy B. Filgo of Okolona; several cousins; many loving and devoted friends and co-workers. Pallbearers will be Mike Cayson, John Boggan, Steve Boggan, Scott Martin, Jem McGahey, and Dr. Jeffery Boyd. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at W. E. Pegues, 535 W. Jefferson Street, Tupelo, MS. 38801 Memorials may be made to The Sanctuary Hospice House, PO Box 2177, Tupelo MS 38803; or a charity of the donor's choice. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com
