Obituary for Emma White Saltillo - Emma Lee White, 70, died Thursday, October 6, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, she was born July 5, 1941, to Lee and Estelle Storms Harris. She was retired from Lanier Clothing where she worked as an inspector. For the past two years, she lived at Home Place and appreciated the care she received. She enjoyed playing bingo, working puzzles and loved sharing stories with friends and family. She was a Baptist Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Mr. Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. W Survivors include three sisters, Wanda Loftin (Hugh) of the Eggville Community; Allene Magill (Charles), and Mary Melson of Tupelo; two sisters-in-law, Gail Evans (Bernard) of Saltillo, and Kay Tapp (Rick) of Baldwyn; two brothers-in-law, Danny White (Elaine) of Plantersville and Mickey White of Baldwyn; two special girls, Laken Smith and Makayla Benson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L White; two brothers-in-law, Billy Melson and Coley White; her mother-in-law, Lillie Bell White; and a niece, Karen Turner. Visitation will be noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 200 Office Park Drive, Suite 303, Birmingham, AL 35233.
