EDDIE LESTER Saltillo - Eddie Lester, 50, passed away after a long battle with cancer Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born on February 6, 1966, to Cemous James and Genell Homer Lester. Eddie was a roofer at Wages and Dill Construction. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing Gospel and country music. Eddie loved spending time with friends and family. He was a Christian and loved Jesus Christ, his Savior. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Kevin Merritt and Bro. Joe Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Euclatubba Cemetery. Survivors include his sisters, Sandy Raines (Frank) of Saltillo, Cathy Raines (Jerome) of Saltillo and Bonnie Dill of Pontotoc; brothers, Kevin Merritt and Jay Stanley of Saltillo and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Ed and Gracie Homer and Philip and Bula Lester. Pallbearers will be John Ellward, Jonathan Raines, Joey Bell, Logan Hendrix, Mark Jackson and Michael Orsborn. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com.
