Obituary for Ecolee Lamb Tupelo L. E. Ecolee Lamb, 84, died Friday morning, December 2, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born April 3, 1927, to John Marvin and Maudie Lou Weathers Lamb. He graduated from Mooreville High School in 1945 and was a lifelong highly respected member of the Eggville Community. He began his working career at the Tupelo Airport fueling planes. He worked at Day Brite Lighting Company for 43 years and later he co-owned Eggville Airport and Air Services with his brother, John Lamb, Jr. He loved growing his bees and was a lover of Gods creation and tremendously enjoyed being outside. He was a member of Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Pierce and Bro. Leon Willis officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Lanelle Butler (Alvie) of Dorsey; two sons, Richard A. Lamb (Diana) of Evansville, Indiana and Gregory Alan Lamb (Rhonda) of Eggville; one sister Sarah Hardin (Bobby) of Eggville; one brother, Robert Gene Lamb (Brenda) of Saltillo; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Keith of Mantachie and Ted Ramsey of Michigan City, Indiana; four sisters-in-law, Sandy Biereichel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ann Lauderdale of Eggville, Geri McCarty of Tupelo and Billie Lamb of Eggville; six grandchildren, Lee Lamb (Jennie) of McCutchanville, Indiana, Largus Blake Lamb and fiancee Christie Westmoreland of Eggville, Sharon Muangprasert (Rob) of Evansville, Indiana, Alysia Rhinefort (Troy) of Evansville, Indiana, Beth Howell of Tupelo and LuAnn Butler of Booneville; five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Ben Hardin of Eggville and a special friend, his beekeeping buddy, Phil Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Joyce Lamb; one brother, John M. Lamb, Jr.; one sister, Loeva Keith; one sister-in-law, Charlie Mae Lamb. Pallbearers will be Ben Hardin, Doug Lamb, Blake Lamb, Lee Lamb, Danny Baldwyn and Mark Weathers Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff of W. E. Pegues Funeral Home, Greg Pegues, Sandy Pegues, Sammy Lansdell, J. C. Robbins, Mike Easley, Landon Roberson, Harvey Raper, Robert Wilson, Shirley Mills, Joan McCraw, Joey Tutor and Willis Swain; Kerrie Weathers, Steve Holland, Mark Duvall and Phil Morgan. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the funeral home and his body will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to services on Sunday.
