Doyle Harris Blue Springs- Doyle Harris 51, died Saturday, December 31, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 1, 1965, in Tupelo to Marvin Lester and Jessie Louise Harris. He was a 1984 graduate of Mooreville High School. Doyle continued his education and attended Itawamba Community College on the Fulton campus. He was a longtime resident of the Eggville community until moving to the Blue Springs community 7 years ago. He worked at Lane Furniture for 14 years as a maintenance supervisor and was previously a maintenance supervisor with Kruger for 19 years. Watching Nascar and cheering on his driver Jeff Gordon was a passion for Doyle. He enjoyed attending Nascar races in person and had been to many throughout his life. Doyle loved spending time with grandson Case. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Cooley Harris; one son, Justin Harris (Sara) of Mooreville; two daughters, Destiney Curry (Wesley) of Blue Springs, Selena Curry (Jonathon) of Jericho; one grandson, Case Dawson of Mooreville; six sisters, Arvy Powell (Charles) of New Albany, Linda Childers of Tupelo, Donna Rodgers (Jerry) of Tupelo, Shirley Sanders of Saltillo, Ruth Harris of Savannah, Tennessee, Patsy Cortez (Gill) of Savannah, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Harris; father, Marvin Harris; one brother-in-law, Dewey Sanders; his beloved Scooter and special friend, Mr. Jerry Bristow. Services honoring his life will 11 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2017, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Derrick Finley officiating. Graveside services will follow at Eggville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bullard, Robert Cox, Kevin Lindsey, Todd Wheeler, Jimmy Cogsin and Dale Hester.
