DAVID MARTIN "POP" Tupelo- Marcus David Martin left his earthly body on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo following an extended illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Bert Harper and Bro. Dave Jensen officiating. A graveside service will follow at Keyes Cemetery in Itawamba County. Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. David is survived by the mother of his children and caretaker, Deborah Green Martin of Tupelo; daughter, Michelle Richardson (Bobby), of Brandon; son, Marc Martin, of Little Rock, Arkansas; two granddaughters Addison and Avery Richardson of Brandon; brother, Larry Horn, of Tupelo (previously Dallas, Texas); sister, Betty Horn Barnes of Owensville, Missouri; two nephews, Ron Barnes (Maxine) of Owensville, Missouri and Brian Bullock (Haley) of Memphis, Tennessee and mother-in-law, Frances Green of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Virgil Martin and Margie Louise Holley Martin; grandmother, Rausie "Mama Miller"; nephew, Gary Barnes and father-in-law, R.O. Green. Pallbearers will be Scotty Allred, Ron Barnes, Charles Davis, Donald Harris, Teddy Golding, and Kevin West. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwight Nicholson.
