Mooreville - Carolyn Ann Bedford, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born March 9, 1945, to Jack and Ann Lee Lansdell in Lee County, Miss.
Carolyn lived in Mooreville during the course of her life, graduating from Mooreville High School. She was a member of Open Door Worship Center. She worked as a Seamstress for Blue Bell Manufacturing for 25 years and retired from Charleston Place in Fulton. After retirement, Carolyn was a caretaker for the elderly. Carolyn enjoyed spending her time listening to gospel music, hanging out with her family and tending to her garden, especially her beloved roses.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Eddie Bedford (Sonya) of Baldwyn; sisters, Betty Tucker (Bobby) and Debbie Franks (Roger), both of Mooreville, and Nita Blanchard (Scott) of Mantachie; brother, James Lansdell (Geraldine) of Mooreville; grandchildren, Summer Bedford of Mooreville, Kayla Whisenant (Kyle) of Marrietta and Kenzie Phillips (Seth) of Baldwyn; two great-grandchildren, Braylee and Rylan, and one on the way, Paxton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse of 40 years, Joe Bedford and sisters, Shirley Lansdell, Bobbie Smith and Cora Cayson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5 until 8 p.m. at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Shane Ray officiating and her brother-in-law, Bro. Roger Franks delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery.
