Saltillo – Carol Jane May, 72, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice from an extended illness. She was born February 8, 1945 to Harry Pecora and Margaret Manspeaker in Point Pleasant, Missouri. Carol retired as the Vice President of her husband’s company, David May Construction Company, Inc.
Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, David May of Saltillo; one son, Jeffrey D. May of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Meghan Lutrell (Trae) of Saltillo, Olivia Bennett (Chris) of Tupelo and Loghan May of Nashville; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Luttrell and Georgia Bennett; five sisters, Susan Schmitt, Marty Jackson, Mikki Cline, Maria Crenshaw and Mary Manspeaker, all of Memphis; and two brothers, Danny and Robin Woods, both of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roy Woods; and one sister, Dila Woods.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. David Krech officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time September 27, 2017 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 Main Street Tupelo, Mississippi 38801.
