Bro. Gerry Jackson
Saltillo- Gerry Jackson 54, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, by a heart attack while doing something he loved deer hunting. Gerry was born April 30, 1962 to Jeff and Bernice Jackson of Saltillo, and he attended Saltillo Schools. He married Candy Hallmark on Valentine's Day 1986, and they were married for 30 years. He was an assistant pastor at Greater Vision Ministries in Saltillo. Gerry loved to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Candy Hallmark Jackson; one daughter Kim Hensley (Wes); one grandson, Link Hensley; his mom and dad, Jeff and Bernice Jackson; five brothers, Ricky Jackson (Cindy), Allan Jackson (Julie), Mark Jackson (Tracy), Ronnie Jackson, David Jackson (Merilyn); one sister, Beverly Robinson (Tony Mann); nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Ricky Hallmark (Dawn) and Shane Hallmark (Peggy).
He is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Jackson, his grandparents and his mother and father in law.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, 2016, 2 p.m. at the Saltillo Chapel with Bro. Walter Prather Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his brothers and his nephew Brandon Hood.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at W.E. Pegues, Saltillo.
