Bonnie Ruth Hardin

October 30, 1935 — December 3, 2017

Bonnie Ruth Hardin, 82, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the Sanctuary Hospice House after a short illness. She was born October 30, 1935, in Glendale, Arkansas to Ira Edward and Bonnie Jewel Tucker Hankins. Raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas she attended schools there and finished at Pine Bluff High School. Bonnie married Thomas L. Hardin July 2, 1963. She was an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan. Prior to her declining health, She thoroughly enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and functions. She loved working crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee and reading a good book. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Tishomingo.



Survivors include three daughters, Vanita Southward (Hal) of Tishomingo, Missy Crockett of Tupelo, and Cindy Mangum (Ken) of Aberdeen; one son, Bobby Waits of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one brother, Larry Hankins (Jean) of Redfield, Arkansas; two sisters, Jackie Fitch of Lexa, Arkansas, Rita Cash (Wayne) of Rison, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brandon Willingham of Addison, Texas, Taylor Crockett of Tupelo, Savannah Southward of Tishomingo, Cassie Effler (Mike) of Metairie, Louisiana, Chad Mangum (Ashley) of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Blake Southward of Madison; two great-grandchildren, Noel Maureau of Metairie, and Annie Mangum of Frankfort, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Bobby Hardin (Sarah) of Eggville Community and sister-in-law, Pat Robbins of Fairview.



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother-in-law, David Fitch, her mother-in-law, Mabel Morgan and sister-in-law, Mary Starling.



Visitation for friends and family will be from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at W. E. Pegues in Tupelo.



Private graveside services will be held on Thursday.



Pallbearers will be Chad Mangum, Ben Hardin, Rodney Starling, Cary Simmons, Matthew Gumm and Mike Ellis.
