Betty Ann Rhudy Barnett

December 14, 1938 — February 21, 2019

Betty Ann Rhudy Barnett, 80, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Lee County, December 14, 1938, to James C. and Vivian Louise Moore Rhudy and graduated from Humes High School in Memphis. She offered her bookkeeping and tax service to clients in her home until a couple years ago. After a 20 year career, she retired from Walmart. Betty Ann loved to read, travel and spend time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Richmond Pentecostal Church, but would visit other churches with friends.

Survivors include four children, Cynthia Anzuini and her husband, Salvatore "Sam" of Mantachie, Gary Smith and his girlfriend, Rita of Tremont, Cheryl Rogers and her husband, Harvey of Mesquite, Texas and Marty Smith and his wife, Melody of Tupelo; ten grandchildren, Samuel Anzuini of Peaceful Valley, Rebekah Anzuini of Fulton, Nichole Irmer and her husband, Brian of Columbus, Georgia, Chloe Smith of Vancleave, Hannah Perkins of San Marcos, Texas, and Alexia Smith, Abby Smith, Jase Smith, David Lewis and Brianna Lewis all of Tupelo; two great-grandchildren, Presley and Everette Irmer; two sisters, Barbara Alexander and her husband, Ray and Debbie Martin all of Tupelo; and brother, Jerry Rhudy and his wife, Pat of Gulf Breeze, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Rhudy and Vivian Louise Morton; husband, William R. "Bill" Barnett; grandson, Salvatore Eugene Anzuini, Jr.; and sister, Patsy Beckham.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 12 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Jay Carney and Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Graveside services will follow in Andrew's Chapel Cemetery in Mooreville.

Pallbearers will be Glen Rhudy, Eddie Sullivan, Samuel Anzuini, Scott Little, Hamp Shaw and Logan Webb.
