Obituary for Betty Quay Palmer Eggville - Betty Quay Palmer, 69, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born March 19, 1942 in Lee County to Clyde and Vera Robbins Smith. She was a 1961 graduate of Mooreville High School. She was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Eggville Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Robert Palmer of the Eggville Community; three sons, Steve Palmer (Kimberly) of the Eggville Community, Todd Palmer (Melony) of West Point and Mark Palmer (Lea) of Baldwyn; nine grandchildren, Brianna Palmer, Johann Palmer (fianc, Tiffany Castle), Caleb Palmer, Julia Ann Palmer, Roy Kyle Palmer, Christopher Palmer, Rebecca Palmer, Cayliana Newman and Logan Palmer; one great-grandchild, Caden Palmer; one brother, Ernest Smith (Jan) of Tupelo; one sister-in-law, Margie Smith of the Eggville Community. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Holland and Aaron Smith; one sister, Faye Gattis. Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Chad Smith, Johann Palmer, Caleb Palmer, Tony Williams and Cody Williams. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
