Obituary for Betty McLarty Saltillo - Betty McLarty, 74, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in the Eggville Community on December 3, 1936 to David Arnold and Lucy Irene Holder Harris. She was an active member of Blair Gospel Tabernacle in the Blair Community. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling and visiting people. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Eggville Cemetery with Rev. James Harris officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include four sons, Bobby McLarty (Kappy) of Guntown, Billy Wayne McLarty (Helen) of Saltillo, Charles McLarty (Lois) of Saltillo and Doug McLarty (Susan) of Saltillo; one sister, Shirley Roper (Paul) of Guntown; two brothers, Junior Harris of Saltillo and Rev. James Harris (Margie) of Guntown; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe McLarty; her grandson, Rodney Kipp McLarty; one brother, J.D. Harris. Pallbearers will be Nathan Gunnells, Bruce McLarty, Jacob Harden, Tony Roper, Willie Brown, Michael Harris, Danny Harris, Kevin McLarty. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
