Betty L. Igert

BETTY IGERT   Tupelo, Mississippi - Betty L. Igert, 89, formerly of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born January 1, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky to Ward and Mable Nally. She married Charles Igert July 15, 1950, and lived in Louisville and Jeffersonville, Indiana until 2012, when they moved to Tupelo. Betty was a homemaker. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.   She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Glover (Danny) of Mantachie; grandchildren, Natalie Schultz (Steve) of Boca Raton, Florida, Shannon Hull (Mitch) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Matthew Hussey (Chelsea) and Anna-Liesa Hussey of Tupelo; great-grandchildren, Allie Stacy, Jocelyn and Zane Hull; aunt, Louise Halsey of Louisville, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Bill and Jack Nally, and son, Gary Shaffner.   A private family service will be held at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana on March 19, 2016.   Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, PO Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38803.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
