AVIS CAYSON Clint, Texas - Avis Hinton Cayson was born June 30, 1928 in Shannon and passed away at the age of 88 on February 18, 2017 in Clint, Texas. On August 18, 1948, Avis married Joe Cayson and was an Army wife until his retirement. While living in Tupelo, Avis and her husband were members of Sherman Baptist Church. She moved to Clint, Texas to be closer to her daughter. While living in Clint, Avis loved attending Clint First Baptist Church and enjoyed spoiling her daughter's two dogs. Avis will be dearly missed and will live on in their memories.Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Greenup (Kyle) of Clint, Texas; son, Gary Cayson (Debora) of Sherman; grandchildren, Matthew Cayson of Jackson and Anna Catherine Cayson of Sherman; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins and her church family of Clint First Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Beadie Frederick Hinton and two brothers.Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Sherman Cemetery with her brother-in-law, Rev.
