ASHLEE BLAINE SMITH
Furrs Community - Ashlee Blaine Smith, 28, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017. She was born in Tupelo on July 15, 1988, to James Robert "Bobby" Smith, Jr. and Cathy Kilgo. She graduated from Vina High School. She previously worked at FedEx Ground and Wal Mart. Ashlee was a volunteer fireman. She enjoyed any genre of music, going to concerts and dancing. Ashlee loved hanging-out with friends and had a wonderful voice for singing. She cared for people and adopted many to call her family. Ashlee was well liked and will be missed by any who knew her.
Survivors include her father, James Robert "Bobby" Smith, Jr. (Kathy) of Tupelo; birth mother, Cathy Kilgo Seals of Tupelo; mother/grandmother, Dixie Lee Smith of the Furrs Community; brother, James Robert "Robby" Smith, III (Christy), Jermaine Bogan of Tupelo and Jeffery of Saltillo; sister, Hope Smith of Tupelo and Kayla of Saltillo; step-sisters Sydney Manasco and Mandy Davis both of Birmingham; special child in Ashlee's life, Kylie Hancock and her mother, Kasey Manley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Robert Smith, Sr. and great-grandmother, Ruth Stewart.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
