Support Service Staff

These members of our staff are vitally important toward the operation of our firm.  These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

Phil King, Funeral Service Associate/Visitation Coordinator Office Phone: 662-842-4872 Fax: 66-842-9224 Phil is a Tupelo native, a 1958 graduate of Tupelo High School and also attended Mississippi State University.  He is the son of the late Joe and Katheryne King.  Earlier in his life, Phil worked 11 years with the RC Cola Company and later worked many years with his mother and father in their family business, Joe's Minit Mart, in North Tupelo.  He was a superintendent with Mid-South Packers for several years before entering the furniture industry, first with Scheller-Globe (Foamex), and later as fabrication manager for Crane Industries where he retired in 2001.  Phil joined the Pegues family in 2002 and had remained active as visitation coordinator and continues to sing bass with the nationally recognized Landmark Quartet.

Lisa Rish, Organist A native of Belden, Mississippi, Lisa has served as staff organist for W. E. Pegues for the past 20 years.  She is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a major in music.  She has previously served as Minister of Music at Wesley United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church, Saltillo, and had served as interim Minister of Music at East Heights Baptist Church and Belden Baptist Church.  She is currently serving as Minister of Music for St. Luke United Methodist Church.
